Adventures in Education
Inspire the imagination and foster enthusiasm for reading with Adventures in Education, a multi-sensory interactive program that combines storytelling, creative movement and drama with popular children's literature. Specialized movement equipment and theatre props enrich the student's experience and involve everyone in making the story come alive. Confidence building, non-competitive, cooperative activities improve listening and memory skills along with enhancing the ability to focus. A wide variety of literature is utilized. Themes may be tailored to meet specific curriculum requirements. Grades Pre-K - 5
Students participate in fun-filled cooperative games that take them on imaginative journeys and missions that require team work, concentration, and the use of creative problem solving skills. These activities use an assortment of movement equipment including juggling scarves, NERF balls, hula hoops and more. A variety of music and theatrical props are used to enhance the experience. Everyone gets involved in the challenges that promote laughter, literacy, self-expression, and fitness. Grades 3 - High School
Reach for the Stars
Unique theatre games, drawing and music stimulate the imagination and foster enthusiasm for the creative arts. Learn how to story map and identify life goals. This program ends with a relaxation segment. Grades 4 - High School
History in Motion
A unique opportunity for students to explore significant historical
events through fitness challenges, drama, and cooperative games. Grades 2-5 & Middle School.
An early intervention and life-skills program providing support in the areas of sensory integration, therapeutic play, socialization, language, motor planning, and literacy skills. Infant - Second Grade
Circle of Friends
Introducing therapeutic programs specifically designed to meet the special needs of students. The Integrative Healing Arts in Education workshops provide effective and innovative methods of reducing stress while improving relaxation to support students in "brain-friendly" optimal learning environments. The activities promote creative self-expression through individual and interactive group experiences that engage the mind/body/spirit and intrinsically motivate students to explore their world. Highlighted are issues related to attention, focus, impulse control, behavior modification and self-esteem. Grades Middle - High School
Calm Parents/Calm Kids
A workshop for parents to develop a supportive, calm, focused approach to parenting with activities that relax and soothe. Nurture yourself, enrich your relationships and design optimal learning environments for the developing children in your life. Identify strategies that promote cooperation, listening skills, focus and a positive "can-do" attitude.
